Order of Czech Cases

Elementary individually · in pairs print prep 2–5 minFREECzechfree

A list of the seven Czech grammatical cases in the right order. There are two versions: the Czech case questions (“kdo, co?” for the nominative up to “(s) kým, čím?” for the instrumental), or the Latin names from nominative to instrumental.

On the website you place the list into materials where children put items in order. The cases are printed shuffled and the child arranges them from the 1st to the 7th case, for example on a string, in a word chain or in a self-checking frame. The child then checks the order on their own.

It suits Czech-speaking children from Year 4 (3rd grade), when they learn the case questions by heart. The Latin names work for older pupils and for learners of other inflected languages.
