Czech Hard and Soft Consonants

A set of 24 Czech consonants to sort into three groups: hard (h, ch, k, r, d, t, n), soft (ž, š, c, č, ř, j, ď, ť, ň) and ambiguous (b, f, l, m, p, s, v, z). Each item is one letter and the child decides where it belongs.

On the website you place the letters into a sorting table where the child splits them into three columns, onto a worksheet or into multiple-choice questions with three options. Every time you generate, the letters come in a different order.

It suits Czech-speaking children from Year 3 (2nd grade), when they learn to write i or y after hard and soft consonants, and before the lists of exception words.
