Czech Sentence Types
A set of 400 Czech sentences to sort into four groups by type: statements (“Venku svítí slunce.”), questions (“Už jsi mluvil s šéfem?”), commands (“Přineste mi účet.”) and wishes (“Kéž bychom našli ztraceného pejska.”). There are a hundred sentences of each type. The sentences keep their punctuation, so children can also use the mark at the end.
On the website you place the items into a sorting table where the child splits them into columns, onto a worksheet or into multiple-choice questions. Every time you generate, different items come in a different order.
It suits Czech-speaking children from Year 3 (2nd grade), when they learn sentence types and end punctuation. Older children can turn sentences from one type into another.
