Czech Verbs – Person, Number, Tense
Elementary individually print prep 2–5 minFREEfill-in sheetsCzechfree
A set of Czech sentences where the child fills in the person, number, tense and infinitive of a marked verb. In “Chlapec napsal úkol.” (The boy wrote his homework.) the verb napsal is third person, singular, past tense, with the infinitive napsat. There are two levels; the second has longer and harder sentences. Altogether there are over 2,000 sentences.
On the website you place the sentences on a worksheet with boxes to fill in, and add an answer key if you like. Every time you generate, different sentences are picked.
It suits Czech-speaking children from Year 5 (4th grade), when they identify person, number and tense, and older pupils revising. For the imperative the tense stays empty.
