Division Facts in Words

A generator of division facts within the times tables, written in words, for example “the quotient of 56 and 8”, “56 divided by eight” or “an eighth of 56”. In the full-table version the divisor and the answer are from 1 to 10. The harder version leaves out ones and tens, so both are from 2 to 9. The problems never leave a remainder.

On the website you place the problems on a worksheet and add an answer key if you like. They also go on game cards such as memory or dominoes with the words and the answer, or into multiple-choice questions. Every time you generate, you get new problems.

It suits children in Years 4 and 5 (3rd and 4th grade) who know their division facts and need to recognise them in words, for example in word problems. The problems are written in Czech.
