Long Division Problems
Elementary individually · in pairs print prep 2–5 minFREEMathematicsdivisionfree
A generator of long division problems. Choose how many digits the dividend has (2 to 7) and the divisor (1 to 6). Four digits and one digit gives problems such as 5712 : 6 = 952. The problems never leave a remainder, so children can check the answer by multiplying.
On the website you place the problems on a worksheet. The layout with lines for working or the spacious layout leaves room for the calculation. You can add an answer key to the sheet. Every time you generate, you get new problems, so each child can have a different sheet.
It suits children in Years 5 and 6 (4th and 5th grade) learning short division, and older pupils dividing by two-digit and longer divisors.
