Rounding Decimals
A generator of problems on rounding decimals to a whole number. The numbers are from 0 to 10 with one decimal place, for example 7.3. Choose one of three versions: round to the nearest whole number (7.3 ≈ 7, 7.5 ≈ 8), always round down, or always round up. Rounding down or up fits problems where only one direction makes sense, such as how many full boxes we can fill.
On the website you place the problems on a worksheet and add an answer key if you like. They also go on game cards such as memory with a decimal and a whole number, or into multiple-choice questions. Every time you generate, you get new problems. The numbers are printed with a decimal comma.
It suits pupils in Years 6 and 7 (5th and 6th grade) meeting decimals.
