Unit Conversion Quiz
A generator of multiple-choice unit conversion questions. The prompt is, for example, “3 m” and the child chooses from three options with the same number but a different unit: 300 cm, 300 mm, 300 dm. They have to know how many powers of ten separate the units. Choose the quantity: length, area, volume, mass, or physical quantities with prefixes such as kilo, mega or milli (force, energy, power, pressure, voltage, current, resistance). The number in the prompt is 1, a whole number up to 10, or a decimal. Separate versions convert degrees to radians and °C to °F.
On the website you place the questions on a multiple-choice worksheet or into self-checking games. Every time you generate, you get new questions.
It suits children from Year 5 (4th grade) for length and mass, and lower secondary pupils for area, volume and physics units.
