Volume of Cubes and Spheres
A generator of word problems on the volume of a cube and a sphere. In a forward problem the side or radius is given and the pupil calculates the volume, for example “A cube has a side of 6 cm. What is its volume?” with the answer 216 cm³. In a reverse problem the volume is given and the pupil finds the side or radius. Cube sides are from 1 to 20, sphere radii from 1 to 9, and the units are mm, cm, dm, m or km. Sphere volumes are given with π, for example 36π cm³.
On the website you place the problems on an open-answer sheet, for example a short test or a maths trail. They also go on cards with the problem and the answer. Every time you generate, you get new problems.
It suits pupils in Years 8 to 10 (7th to 9th grade). The problems are written in Czech.
